Edwardian children's twill stay, corset/bodice from a large collection saved from Richard Cooper & Co of Ashbourne, Derbyshire (founded in 1855) and Chil-Tex (founded in Ashbourne in 1969). In 1999, Coopers became part of Chil-Tex Ltd and Chil-Tex closed in 2004. These items were saved from disposal when the two factories merged into one and as such are all new deadstock, however most do show age and storage soil.

All items are new never worn old stock, some have manufacturing labels others do not. None have sales labels as they are taken from a factory not a shop

This child's stay band is circa 1910-1920 in twill with belt and side slit for fastenings, stitched fabric ribs and shoulder strap.  It is in grey twill and although in very good condition it has a small cut in the fabric and some holes in the straps.
