This is the designer's Olpe oil or vinegar cruet from the designer's edgy, award-winning range of postmodern crystal collection known as Olpe that also included salt and pepper shakers.

Mangiarotti's designs for Colle are characterized by their visual lopsidedness achieved through a precise balance of curves dispersing the weight of the crystal form. While it visually appears that it would topple over, it actually balances perfectly on a surface. The effect is fabulously sculptural and engaging.
