OKAYAMA HOJICHA POWDER | 100g | Easy Latte Powder — Maniwa Highland, Okayama
WHAT THIS IS
A 100g bag of hojicha powder from Okayama, Japan, made from tea leaves grown in Maniwa City (真庭市) — a highland area where large temperature differences between day and night produce tea leaves with exceptional aroma and depth. Hojicha is made by roasting green tea at high heat, giving a warm, toasty, caramel-like aroma with very low caffeine. I am a licensed pharmacist in Okayama. I personally visited this farm and filmed a video interview — coming soon.
THE GOOD
- Tea leaves from Maniwa City (真庭市), Okayama — a highland area where large temperature swings produce aromatic tea with distinctive, lingering character.
- Grown without pesticides or artificial fertilizers — not organically certified, but farmed with care for the land.
- 100g — better value for regular Hojicha users compared to our 60g leaf size
- Powder format dissolves easily into milk — smooth, velvety lattes without brewing or straining
- Very low caffeine — perfect for evenings and caffeine-sensitive people
- 100% positive seller feedback
WORTH KNOWING — HONEST
- Not organically certified by official standards, though no pesticides or artificial fertilizers are used.
- Powder may clump if exposed to moisture — keep tightly sealed.
- Hojicha aroma fades over time — best within 1–2 months of opening.
- Very different from green matcha — toasty and earthy, not grassy.
- Shipping: approximately 2–4 weeks via e-Packet from Japan.
OUR PRODUCER STORY
I am not a farmer — I am a pharmacist and producer who personally visits and evaluates the farms behind our products. For this Okayama tea, I traveled to Maniwa City (真庭市) — a highland area in my home prefecture — and visited the local tea farmers in person. I filmed a video there showing the highland tea fields of Maniwa and the farmers who tend them — that video will be added to this listing very soon.
ABOUT THE SELLER

I am Nakayama, a licensed pharmacist in Okayama, Japan. I do not simply source and sell tea — I visit farms in person, sit with the farmers, and think together with them about the future of Japanese tea. Many of the products in this shop are co-developed with the farmers themselves. I sell only what I would give my own family.
