Item Description

These are used by PC builders to diagnose power on, bios and motherboard issues via beep codes.

A must have for any serious builder!

Brand new
4-pin header connector (wired to pins 1 and 4)
Colour: Black
1x Supplied
Fast-boot may disable power-on beep with some BIOS
Intended for boot confirmation and BIOS debug only, not for general purpose sound speakers
Remove memory and power on to test beep codes

General meaning from beeps are: (Please note, these can change depending on your setup - This is only a example guideline)

1 short: the system starts properly, which we hear every day, but also that machines without any problems.
2 short: General error, please enter the CMOS Setup, reset the incorrect options.
1 long 1 short: RAM or motherboard error, try for a memory, if that does not work, had to replace the motherboard.
1 long 2 short: Monitor or display card error.
1 long 3 short: Keyboard controller error, check the motherboard.
1 long 9 short: board Flash RAM or EPROM error, BIOS damage. For the block Flash RAM try.

Continuous sound (long beeps): RAM is not seated or damaged. Re-insert, if that does not work, replace the memory.

If it keeps ringing: Check power supply, display and graphics card connected.

Check all plugs.

International Orders:

- All our international orders are shipped via eBay's Global Shipping Program. Prices include shipping and customs charges pre-paid.

Late delivery/postage delays:

If your order has not arrived within the estimated eBay delivery time then please allow a few extra days before contacting us or eBay regarding your delivery. The delivery dates provided by eBay are estimated, and not guaranteed delivery dates. Like other small businesses, we rely heavily on Royal Mail and other national postal services to meet their delivery targets. Unfortunately they do not always meet these targets. We recommend allowing 7-10 days before reporting an order as lost. This allows for any postal delays which are beyond our control with some orders only delayed in the postal system rather than lost. For UK deliveries we require an order to be 10 days late before we will investigate lost item claims.

Please contact us before raising an ‘item not received' case on eBay. We will always investigate non-delivery claims, and where the item has been lost we will look into and resend the order for you.

All shipments are made using the address provided by the customer at the point of sale. If the address is incomplete or incorrect, it will be unlikely your order will arrive. We do not provide free of charge replacements where incorrect or incomplete addresses are provided.

Please contact us before raising an eBay return request.

We work very hard to ensure that the products we sell are the most suited parts & accesorries available and meet your satisfaction. In the unfortunate event your order has been received damaged, faulty or incorrect, please contact us first using the contact us link on the listing so we can discuss your requirements.
