Academician, Member of the Russian Academy Presidium, Member of the Union of artists of the USSR, Honored artist of the Chuvash ASSR, People's artist of Russia, awarded the gold medal for participation in the exhibition "Red gate", Cheboksary. Professor of painting, laureate of the State prize of the Chuvash Republic.

Born December 29, 1929 in Chuvash Republic (former USSR), graduated from the Harkov Art Institute (Ukraine).

Graphic artist, painter and muralist. He worked as a teacher of drawing and painting, senior art editor of the Chuvash book publishing house, lecturer of the Department of theory and history of arts, Professor of art–graphic faculty of the Chuvash state pedagogical Institute, Chairman of the Board of the Union of artists of Chuvashia.

Major works: a series of linocuts “the men of the North”, “Northern series”, a series of etchings based on the poems of M. Sespel', painting “Sespel'”, “On Northern Dvina”, “Song”, “Holiday in Shorshely”, “Golden autumn. My parents”, “Dionysius”, “Earth poet”, “the Mural on the bread” mosaic “On a new track,“ painting “Life“, “Joy of life“, “Earth and man“, and more.
