8&1/2" x 5&7/8" hardcover with jacket sealed in shrinkwrap, I researched the book via the number (394-50079-2) printed on back at lower right and the Random House edition published November 19, 1978 was 394-50079-9). On back under one of his eyes is a triangle shaped flap which is an opening in the shrinkwrap (see pic), and on front at bottom and top outer corners are small openings (see pics). There is heavy blemishing on front and speckling on spine (see pics), but I am pretty sure it is mostly on the shrinkwrap itself and basically not on the book's jacket. When and if the recipient removed the shrinkwrap and saw that the forementioned was not true I would (after being sent pics of course) consider partial refund accordingly if need be.
