This is a pre-owned brown iron show curb bit with "Seven" style loose shanks made by SRS. This beautifully hand engraved German silver overlay bit features a hinged port Western Pleasure mouthpiece. The bit is in well maintained pre owned condition, but the top of the hinged port is a little looser on the right side beside the copper bushing than it is on the left side.

This bit works mainly off of curb action and is balanced to seek a neutral position so the cheeks won’t move around and distract the horse. The no-pinch ball and tube swivel cheeks is a great tool for lateral flexion.

This is a Level 2 bit for use on a horse that is well started in its training and on the way to becoming a finished horse. The mouthpiece measures 5 inches wide by 3/8 inch in diameter with copper inlays on the back side of the mouthpiece and a copper roller to encourage salivation. This is a great bit with a medium effect that is good for communicating with an intermediate level horse.

The "Seven" shanks measure 7 inches in length with a 2 inch purchase for a 3.5 to one leverage ratio. This bit encourages the horse to flex at the poll and submit softly to the bit. This is a really nice bit for showing, or training and is a great addition to any show bit collection and will look great in any show ring setting.
