Offering a vintage 1955 SHURE Model 55 "Fatboy" Dynamic microphone. The 55 is hands down thee most recognized and iconic vintage microphone ever made. The Unidyne Model 55 body was said, at the time, to have a ‘futuristic look’, but it was actually influenced by the Art Deco movement and, specifically, the front grill of the 1937 Oldsmobile Six convertible coupe!
This one has some overall wear, but is still in presentable condition. She has the original factory element producing strong output, with a unique audio profile somewhat favoring midrange with some bass roll-off. (Check out the voice sample on the listing video.) The internal screen cloth is clean and undamaged, the stand threads have some wear but still has enough good thread to mount. A brand new short pigtail Amphenol to male XLR cable is included, as well as the heavy Atlas desk stand(Let us know if you need an XLR extension cable.) ** Always safe secure packaging and fast fair shipping. **
