Classic Chevy trucks were utilitarian work trucks when new and were almost exclusively fitted with a bench seat. Bench seats were a low cost seating solution with nothing more than a seat base, pivoting seatback, and a mounting bracket. Pretty much all the typical delivery or work truck driver would need for a day on the road handling their work route.
Today, however, is a different story. Modern Chevy trucks are more often people movers first and haulers a distant second. Standard today are bucket seats with a console and often such niceties as seat heaters, lumbar support, and more. As our C10 classic trucks start their second, or even third lives as custom cruisers many owners want that same modern bucket seat comfort and looks, but often getting a pair of C10 bucket seats installed where a ’67-’72 C10 bench seat once resided is easier said than done, until now.
For the popular second generation C10 pickup family (including K-series and GMC trucks) you no longer need to break out the drill and modify your cab floor or use a universal C10 bucket seats mounting solution thanks to our direct fit bolt in C10 bucket seats frame kit. Designed and built right here at Speedway Motors from 1-1/4-inch mild steel square tubing for superior strength and support of most any design C10 seats.
It only takes minutes to get rid of your ’67-’72 C10 bench seat and install our new C10 bucket seat swap bracket. Our C10 bucket seat swap bracket accepts most popular C10 bucket seats, such as our line of Shop Procar Bucket Seats. Simply order the correct Procar Shop Procar Bucket Seat Sliders for your C10 seats and bolt them down to our bracket! The seat mounting bracket is designed to accommodate the stock ’69-’72 1969-1972 Chevy C10 Center Console, however if you’re looking for something with cup holders the ’73-’80 model 1973-1980 Chevy C10/Blazer Center Console will work just fine as well.
Summary: I was a little surprised that the mount came as bare steel. I primed and painted it satin black. The pieces fit together very snuggly, I needed a rubber mallet to bump the pieces together when raw, will probably be a little more snug now that I've painted things. The hardware too is of good quality and all the hardware needed to assemble it and mount it to the truck and to mount the seats has been included. Can't wait to see it in the truck.
