Taking Tiger Mountain by Strategy is one of the eight [model opera] created and allowed to perform during the Chinese Cultural Revolution. The story of Yang Zirong is about him and his fellow PLA soldiers to fight against the local gang of bandits during the Chinese Civil War in 1946.
