 "Official  Paris  Pattern" (Full Length Court Carss) designed by famous late Rococco french Painter Jacques -Louis David (1748-1815); later in 1813 Nicolas-Marie Gatteaux (1751-1833) who was appointed engraver of king of France, adapted the design  which eventually became the new base Paris pattern This continued to be the standard so called "Paris Pattern" until now. The only change that was made hereafter was that it became a design with double-ended cards instead of Full Length ones.

              All cards watermarked and easy to identify them.

This deck is  printed in 1890's(no reissue) by then Grimaud - Paris,of 52 stencil coloured electrotyped playing cards (French suits), double-ended named courts, jack of clubs with complete medallion dated 1853, king of clubs with GALV HULOT on shields, ace of clubs with 1890 LIVE tax stamp, watermark CI in " Oakleaf Wreath",  corners,   card c. 83 x 53 mm, no box, in france in XIX century "Paris Pattern" were w/o boxes  & were sealed in plain paper.

Cards are printed on  "Verge" - Laid paper,  each cards are watermarked, and are w/o indexes.
