There are many qualities of Batik painting ranging from simple animals and masks to the highly elaborate. Many of the Batiks you will find on Ebay are made in batches of around 50pcs that will all be very similar .  If you are not sure how to judge the quality you need to be looking at the vibrance of the colours and the amount of detail in the design. Many of the top artists are extensively copied for commercial sale and have less detail and poor quality of line. Most commercial work comes in standard sizes and will fade with time. What you are looking at here is an original pcs with a huge amount of detail, strong vibrant colours and a good understanding of the subject matter.
