It is a fully 'plug-in and play' setup. 'EVERYTHING' you need to fit the unit is included.

You can LOAD / SAVE & FORMAT any image loaded into the emulator's flash memory. It works exactly

like the real floppy drive, but without the hassle of dodgy disks & read/write errors.

This drive comes with a choice of 2 pre-fitted OLED displays, which give info including :-

IMAGE FILE NAME, FOLDER NAME, DIRECTORY LEVEL, CURRENT DISK TRACK, CURRENT HEAD LOCATION, WRITE.

It supports the use of FOLDERS & SUB-FOLDERS for easy organisation of your disk images into

categories of your choice.

You can choose whether you require your drive to have a rotary encoder or not, as well as which

display you prefer. We have options to cover all budgets & requirements and our drives are

We recommend a rotary controller is essential for drive setups that come with more than 200

(non-blank) disk images on the key. You can still navigate without but it is much easier with

Our amplified sound module board is pre-fitted inside the drive to emulate the sound of the floppy

drive stepper motor.*

*the sound can be turned off in configuration if required / currently not supported for QD or

single track drive emulators.

For devices that require an auto-boot into an Operating System, the drive will automatically

load from the latest O/S disk image every time the machine powers on.

Many of the disk images included with your drive have been personally converted from our large

collection of sound libraries, including sounds from our own music projects (spanning 30+ years)

and are fully exclusive to this drive pack.

THE 16GB USB KEY PROVIDED CAN USUALLY* STORE BETWEEN 9,000 & 20,000 DISK IMAGES, DEPENDING ON

THE FORMAT YOUR DEVICE REQUIRES, MUCH MORE THAN FIXED 100 OR 1000 IMAGE MODELS. (888 display).

*Quickdisk formatted drives can provide up to a massive 70,000 disk images on a single 16GB key.

We now ship our drives with good quality OEM 16GB keys with our logo professionally laser etched

onto them, rather than Sandisk. The USB key's performance is still far better than is needed for

use in floppy emulators with an average a read / write speed in H2TESTW of 24 mega'bytes' per

second*. *MAXIMUM floppy seek / write access times are only 100 mega'bits' per second.

We are still by far the most competitive priced seller on ebay for this product and hope to keep

it that way, while still providing great quality drive solutions and customer service.

Our drives always have the latest stable version of the 'fully HXC compatible' 'FlashFloppy+PLUS'

firmware installed which gets regular updates and improvements. We have been a full supporter of

Flashfloppy since it's origins in 2015 and help with testing with its developer Keir Fraser.

The 435 main boards have a big increase in onboard ram (384kb compared to the standard 32kb

Artery or even the original 64kb STM32). This means the drive can handle large disk formats such

as High Density .hfe images of 6MB and above without even breaking a sweat. The original

32kb/64kb drives really struggle with any disk image files over 2MB in size. They also have a

much faster processing speed running at 288Mhz *(compared to the standard 72Mhz Artery & STM32).

The emulators are still fully backwards compatible for piece of mind and we charge no more for

the enhanced model than others selling the standard drives.

Flashfloppy+PLUS is without a doubt 'the' No.1 floppy emulator firmware there is!

No doubt, as you're replacing the floppy drive in your device with this emulator, you may well

have a collection of floppy disks that you have saved your work to that you don't want to lose.

There are several methods to create disk images from real floppy disks with your computer, the

one suitable to your device will be on an instructional .pdf document provided on your USB key.

If you have no way to convert your own disk images, we provide a service where you can send your

disks to us by post and we will convert them all for you. After conversion, we send the disk

image files via a private 'googledrive' link, then return the real disks back to you safely in
