A "Collection for the Record" is a collection of 16 songs by one of Detroit, Michigan's finest rock bands,"The Look"! Recorded in the years between 1978-1993 it features songs from "The Look's" first 4 albums. Originally released in 2000 it was re-released in 2002-2003, and is now in it's fourth printing in 2006. It was only available at live shows until now. The songs are in chronological order by album. And as you will soon hear, "The Look" have a sound all their own which is definately "Detroit Rock and Roll Soul"! The band called "The Look" was formed in 1977 and has been well known to Detroit, MI. USA audiences for more than 29 years. Through out the '80's "The Look" recorded for labels such as Fantasy and A&M Records and had national and international success with songs like "We're Gonna Rock"(How About You?) and "You Can't Sit Down". They were the first Detroit band on MTV (during the cable channels infancy) and were also featured on Dick Clark's American Bandstand show. They released records in Europe on Line Records(Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Luxemborg) and toured throughout the U.S. and Canada and are still performing today. Since the 1990's "The Look" have been releasing CD's via Scorpion Records the bands own independent label.
