Half-title is present. 

Collated, complete. Really a candidate for rebinding but a complete first edition copy. 

Woolf's second novel, set in Edwardian London, the work tells the story of two acquaintances, Katharine Hilbery and Mary Datchet. The novel deals with issues of love and happiness, and also the topical discussion of women's suffrage.

Written by the Bloomsbury author Virginia Woolf, a central figure of the literary group, herself known for her experimental writings and affair with fellow author Vita Sackville-West.


CONDITION

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, worn. Discolouration to the joints and spine. Backstrip is lifting to the rear joint. Minor bumping to the extremities. Loss to the head and tail of the spine. Minor rubbing and marks to the cloth. Hinges are starting but firm. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with a few scattered spots and handling marks.
