This item has an unbroken Marx 490 engine. This set has not been played with much all the side plates for the tender, gondola and caboose are intact. It has a tested one way motor in the engine that runs great. It has a gray Santa Fe tender and red caboose. The SCL gondola is hard to find. The wheels are all the one piece black plastic. It has the tab and slot couplers.
