Chinese export silver cheroot case, ca 1860. Oval with hinged push-button cover. Allover repousse. On front are scenes of daily life with indigenous spearmen and sages, exotic pavilions in background. On back, perched birds on fruiting berry branches. Marks include maker's stamp (Hui) and Cantonese retailer's stamp (Khe Cheong).
