1975 Super Series NY Rangers Soviet Army Ticket Stub - FIRST NHL TEAM VS RUSSIA!

International Hockey History right here! On December 28, 1975, the first ever game between an NHL team and the Russians happened at Madison Square Garden. The Soviet Army team trounced the New York Rangers in this, the first of many games between teams from the Soviet Union and teams from the National Hockey League. The score, 7-3, included goals from Rod Gilbert and Phil Esposito against the superstar goaltender Vladislav Tretiak. Three nights later, the Soviet Army would play in Montreal against the Canadiens in what has been called The Game of the Century! Stub has the game's score marked on the back side.
