Offered for sale is a lovely white milk glass LACE EDGE PLATE, made in the U.S.A. by Westmoreland glass.  The pattern is called FORGET-ME-NOT, and has an intricate lace edge with tiny flowers.  The pattern was introduced in the early 1900s, but continued in production until the 1980s. There is no raised WG mark molded into the glass, so this plate probably dates to 1949 or earlier.  The (goofus) gold decoration hints at the 1920s but there's no solid evidence.

The plate measures 7 1/4 inches (18.4cm) in diameter.  A U.S. quarter is shown in the second picture, to give an accurate impression of the size at a glance.

Plate is in perfect condition with no chips, scratches, cracks or repairs.  One long shear mark is visible on the back, from when the molten glass was loaded into the mold (picture 6).  The gold paint (not metallic; this is goofus gold, cold-painted on after the glass was made) has minimal wear (see pictures).  Care should be taken, as this kind of decoration can be easily scratched or worn off even with gentle hand-washing.

I pack all items in sturdy cartons with plenty of cushioning.  My shipping time is a HIGH estimate -- I can usually ship faster than the estimated time.  I am happy to combine shipping to save on postage IF doing so will not risk breakage of fragile items.  If you win more than one of my items, please wait for a revised invoice before sending payment.

International customers please be aware that there may be additional import duties and customs fees not included in the price of shipping.  I will do what I can to keep the shipping costs low while still packing each item safely.  Used items will be marked as such on the customs forms, which may reduce or eliminate import fees to some countries.

Good luck and thanks for looking!
