Trunk Cabling System Overview

The trunk cabling portion of a microinverter system plays a critical role, as it directly affects installation labor costs. Chilicon’s modular trunk and branch cabling system uses industry-standard 10 AWG VNTC tray cable with a UV- and cut-resistant outer jacket. Each modular component of the 4-conductor cable plugs together on-site, allowing flexible installation. For the first time, installers can mix landscape and portrait PV module layouts on the same string without issue.

Additionally, the trunk cable is self-terminating, eliminating the need for separate termination caps at the end of each microinverter string (see figure below).

The 10 AWG cabling supports 30 A overcurrent protection devices (typically two-pole circuit breakers). This enables the following configurations:

Return Policy

Items sold as new must remain in new, unused condition to qualify for a return. This means the item must not have been powered on, installed, tested, or otherwise put into service.
All returns must include the original packaging, internal packing materials, accessories, manuals, and matching serial numbers (if applicable).
Items showing signs of use, damage, installation, modification, or missing components may be denied for return or be subject to a restocking fee in accordance with platform policy.

Packaging Notice

Some factory boxes may show signs of cosmetic deformation from storage or transport; however, the product inside is fully guaranteed and warranted 100%. Cosmetic blemishes or deformation to the outer packaging do not affect the product’s condition or eligibility for warranty.
