Bound in half crushed morocco with cloth boards.

Written by Edward Step, who was the author of many popular books on various nature topics such as botany, zoology and mycology.

This work offers a comprehensive view of the growth of wild flowers across the year, with categories pertaining to the environments that would host each species. 

With illustrations reproduced from original photographs by the author, including a tissue-guarded colour frontispiece, vignettes and ninety-six plates to each volume. 

Collated, complete. 


CONDITION

In half crushed morocco binding with cloth boards. Externally, generally smart. Front board to Volume II is detached. With rubbing to the extremities, heaviest to the spines. Light marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with scattered spotting to both title and frontispiece pages, and the odd spot throughout.
