DESCRIPTION

Eighty-two volumes.

First edition.

Illustrated with maps, botanical illustrations, figures and more.

A collection of issues from the Flora of Tropical East Africa (FTEA), a catalogue of all known wild plant species in Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania. The project began in 1948 and was finally completed in September 2012 with over twelve thousand species recognised and approximately one thousand five hundred new plant species described.

The work was completed by one hundred and thirty-five botanists from twenty-one countries. It is the largest regional tropical Flora ever compiled, containing almost four percent of the world's known plant species.

The FTEA has since become an important tool for the conservation of plants, wildlife, and habitat across the entire region.

With issues dated between 11th February 1952 to 18th February 1971.
