For sale is a vintage Chinese nephrite jade pendant delicately carved with two carps.

The jade was sourced from Western China during 1990s.

While there are some surface scratches, the pendant is in generally very good vintage condition. While one side is pretty white, the other side exhibits yellowish tone.

Additionally, my assistant has confirmed the authenticity of this jade piece through a hydrostatic approach, yielding a density of 3.00 (4310/1435), falling within the range characteristic of genuine nephrite jade. It's crucial to ensure no air pockets are present in the hole when measuring jade open work via the hydrostatic method for accurate results.
