ARK’s Brick Stick® Chewable Pencil Topper – Available in Three Colour-Coded Toughness Levels
Does chewing on pencils or fingernails sound familiar? ARK's Brick Stick® Chewable Pencil Topper is the perfect solution. This brick-shaped textured design is hollow on one end (to fit over the end of a pencil), and solid on the opposite end for chewing. The Brick Stick® features large bumps on the front and small bumps on the back for a varied sensory experience. Pencil toppers also add extra weight to the pencil for increased hand awareness.
You can use this pencil topper as an oral fidget aid to help calm, soothe and self-regulate thoughts during times of anxiety and stress. The act of chewing on a safe chew tool can focus minds during homework and other activities. It is particularly favoured by children with Autism, Asperger’s, ADHD or those who need a high level of sensory input.
Technical Information
Each Brick Stick® Topper measures about 2 1/2” (6.5cm) long, 5/8” (1.5cm) wide and ½” (1.2cm) thick. Each pencil topper comes with its own pencil, but it can be fitted onto any standard #2 pencil that does not have an eraser on the end. The pencil topper is available in three colour-coded toughness levels
A note about choosing the correct colour
Standard - This is the softest level, recommended for mild chewers (those who do not generally chew through anything). It is also suitable for individuals with low oral tone, or those with limited jaw strength
Medium XT - This is the middle level, which is called XT ("Xtra Tough"). It is firmer, but still fairly chewy and is recommended for moderate chewers
Very Firm XXT - This is the toughest level, which is called XXT ("Xtra Xtra Tough"). It still has some “chewability” to it, but it is fairly rigid/pretty firm. No chew tool is indestructible, but this is usually the longest lasting level for avid chewers.
Choice – Please select your colour choice/toughness level using the drop-down box. One pencil topper chew tool with pencil is supplied. Group photos are for illustration of colours only. Colour hues may vary slightly.
Note - This product is not a toy. This product contains small parts that may pose a choking hazard - recommended for ages 6-7 years and upwards. Although these chew tools are sturdy and durable, no chew tool is indestructible. Wear and tear may be expected given the nature of the intended use. While for some people a chew tool will last forever, for others with heavy/aggressive oral needs, they may go through it very quickly. Please supervise at all times, regularly inspect the chew, and replace if necessary if the item starts to show signs of wear and tear.
Delivery
Please ensure you check your address as once your order has been dispatched, we are not able to amend your delivery address, and you will be responsible for deliveries to incorrect or incomplete addresses.
If an item arrives damaged in transit, please take photos before opening the parcel. We will need these to process a claim with the courier. We will also need images of the product showing any damage on arrival. This must be done within 48 hours of receipt.
Returns
We recognise that on occasions you may want to return your goods after you have received them.
This is absolutely fine. All we ask is that you adhere to the following guidelines to make the return process easy for you to do:
1. In the first instance, please open up a return on eBay so that we know your request to send something back. Please use the correct return reason as listed on eBay.2. Check to make sure that the item has not been altered in any way, as we can only accept items that are unused, unopened and undamaged.
3. Please include a copy of your invoice and indicate clearly why you are returning the item. At times we receive returns with no paperwork, and we cannot identify who has returned an item which can cause delays.
4. Post your item to us within 30 days from when your order was dispatched. You can find this date in your 'shipping confirmation email.
5. Once we have received the item, we will offer you an exchange or refund. Please note any items returned, opened, used or damaged may result in a deduction to your refund amount as we cannot resell the item. This is done by following eBay's terms and conditions.
Please note that unless an error has been made on our part or the item is defective, we will be unable to refund the return postage you will have paid.
Terms
We can't accept returns of any Chewelry, Oral Therapy Products, Drinking and Feeding items for hygiene reasons if they have been opened. If you are not sure about the suitability of the item you have purchased, please don't open it.
