Perforated See-Through Window Mesh Vinyl Guide

Product Overview
Perforated see-through window mesh vinyl is designed exclusively for image-outside-facing installation. Custom perforated window decals provide an eye-catching way to transform storefronts or office windows with advertising, branding, or decorative graphics.

Outside view: Bold, opaque, and vibrant graphics.
Inside view: Maintains visibility, similar to looking through a tinted screen.

This effect is achieved through micro-punctures that cover 30% to 40% of the surface, creating a one-way visual impact while still allowing natural light to pass through.

Perforation Ratio Explained

This one-way effect is achieved through micro-punctures covering 30% - 40% of the surface, allowing natural light to pass through while displaying eye-catching graphics outside.

Perforation Ratios Explained:

70/30 Perf: 70% print surface / 30% holes -> Best for strong colors and bold designs

60/40 Perf: 60% print surface / 40% holes -> Better interior visibility

Perforated Vinyl Application Specifications:

Exterior-Applied: Vinyl applied directly to the exterior window surface. The final graphic consists of 70% solid print and 30% perforated mesh.
Interior-Applied: Vinyl applied to the interior window surface, facing out. The final graphic consists of 60% solid print and 40% perforated mesh.

Effect: Opaque from the outside, see-through from the inside

Eco-Friendly Printing

All graphics are printed using eco-friendly HP Latex printers, which provide:

Vivid, long-lasting color reproduction

Water-based, odorless inks

Prints are safe for indoor environments

Weather-resistant durability for outdoor use

Reduced environmental impact compared to solvent inks

How to Install Your Perforated Window Vinyl

You install perforated window vinyl dry, not wet with soapy water. Applying liquid can trap air bubbles and cause the adhesive to fail. Always thoroughly clean the window with mild soap and water, rinse, and ensure it is completely dry before installing the vinyl.  Follow these steps for a perfect, bubble-free installation.

What You'll Need:

Your perforated vinyl decal

A squeegee or a firm, flat card (like a credit card wrapped in a soft cloth)

A tape measure

A sharp utility knife or scissors

A second person (highly recommended for large decals)

Step 1: Prepare the Surface
Thoroughly clean the window with glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth. The glass must be completely free of dust, grease, and grime. Let the glass dry completely.

Identify the viewing side. Remember, the printed image is meant to be viewed from the outside. The adhesive side (which has a paper backing) will be applied to the inside of the glass. Tip: Do a "readability test" - if you can read the text correctly from the front, that's the viewing side.

Step 2: Position and Tape the Decal
DO NOT remove the backing paper yet.

Position the decal on the inside of the window exactly where you want it. Use small pieces of masking tape at the top to create a "hinge," so the decal hangs in place but can be lifted.

For a full window coverage: Measure to ensure the decal is centered and level.

Step 3: The Dry Application Method
Lift the decal using your hinge of tape.

Peel off the backing paper about 6-12 inches to start, folding it back on itself.

Carefully lower the exposed adhesive onto the glass, using the hinge to keep it aligned.

Use your squeegee to firmly press the vinyl onto the glass, working from the center outwards to remove air bubbles.

Step 4: Apply and Squeegee
Slowly continue to peel away more of the backing paper while simultaneously squeegeeing the vinyl onto the glass.

Use firm, overlapping strokes. Work from the top down or from the center outwards to push out any air as you go.

Keep the material taut to prevent wrinkles.

Step 5: Remove the Application Tape
Once the entire decal is applied, rub the entire surface firmly one more time with your squeegee to ensure a strong bond.

Peel off the application tape at a sharp, low angle (a 45-degree angle is ideal). If you see any vinyl lifting, press it back down and peel the tape more slowly.

Step 6: Final Check
Go over the entire graphic once more with your squeegee to ensure it is fully adhered.

For full window coverage, use a sharp utility knife to trim any excess material from the edges.

Pro-Tips for Success:
Ideal Conditions: Install in a shaded area and avoid direct sunlight. The ideal temperature is between 60°F and 80°F (15°C and 27°C).

Work Slowly and Methodically: The dry method is less forgiving than the wet method, so take your time peeling the backing and squeegeeing to avoid air bubbles and misalignment.

Two-Person Job: For large or complex decals, having one person to peel the backing while the other squeegees is highly recommended.
