A brief introduction to Encaustic Painting: Encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting, involves using heated beeswax to which colored pigments are added. The liquid or paste is then applied to a surface—usually prepared wood, though canvas and other materials are often used.

As a fan of the FIREFLY Television Series as well as the Serenity movie, Kelly was excited about the opportunity to make this SERENITY inspired, Fine Art Painting; exclusively for ImaPaqRat's eBay Store.  Each piece is unique since the process of making such a piece includes many layers and steps. 

  • This piece is signed on the back by Kelly Williams with the pieces title SERENITY.  It also includes information on encaustic paintings, including care instructions.
  • The front of this beautiful painting has Kelly Williams "K" mark melted into the lower right corner.
  • This is an UNFRAMED painting and can be hung directly on your wall or you can choose to have it framed to fit your specific style.  The two pictures showing a framing option is an example only.
  • This is a NEW piece of art and you will be the original owner.
  • Approximate Size: 8" x 8" on a ¼" board
    • Even the edges of the board have been finished so the piece can be hung directly on a wall if you choose not to frame it.
