We have acquired and are in the process of listing over 150+ books that belonged to Dr. Elizabeth "Pat" Roemer an American Astronomer whose research interests centered on comets and asteroids.  She discovered the asteroids "1930 Lucifer" (1964) and "1983 BOK" (1975) and was a co-discoverer of Themisto, one of Jupiter's moons. She was an Emeritus Professor at the University of Arizona and was instrumental in creating the Department of Planetary Sciences there.  She passed away in April 2016.

Hardback with Dust Jacket now in new protective mylar cover

Condition: Good. The Dust Jacket has very light edgewear and is now in a protective mylar cover.  The book is gray cloth boards with gold writing on the spine.  The corners are bumped and so is the top and bottom of the spine. The cloth material is bubbling on the front cover near the bottom left side. Interior pages are clean and tight.The previous owner's name is written on the inside of the front cover along with a stamped date. Elizabeth Roemer MAR 8 1985 There are a couple of pieces of paper marking pages, one of the papers has notes on it.
