This classic design by the twin brothers Greg and Tim Hildebrandt (b. 1939) features a dynamic image of Princess Leia holding a gun in front of Luke Skywalker holding up his lightsabre with the robot droids R2D2 and C3PO standing behind them, an image of Darth Vader dominating the starry night sky with tie-fighters flying towards the Death Star and the slogan, title text and credits above and below in stylised white and dark blue letters.
This poster was given to the people who purchased advance tickets for the re-release of the film in Japan in 1982.
