Working Principle and Functions

This automotive lubricating oil detector mainly reflects the impurities and pollutants in the lubricating oil by measuring the transmittance of the lubricating oil in gasoline engines or diesel engines, and then diagnosing the quality and performance of the oil.

Using professional oil testing equipment can effectively prevent engine problems and failures and ensure that the engine works normally and efficiently.

Transmittance and Oil Temperature Test

(1) Inserting the probe into the oil tank to test the light transmittance can reflect the impurities or contaminants contained in the oil and facilitate diagnosis of the quality and performance of the oil.

(2) The built-in high-precision temperature sensor is used to measure the actual temperature of the engine oil, which can reflect the engine's working status and load conditions.

Operation Steps

NOTE: The probe should be wiped clean before each measurement and the engine temperature should be <60℃.

1. Press and hold the "ON/OFF" button for more than 2 seconds to turn on;

2. Click the"↻" button to select the mode: gasoline engine mode or diesel engine mode;

3. Click the "℃/℉" button to switch the temperature unit;

4. Immerse the test probe in the engine oil and click "Start" to test the oil transmittance;

5. The interface will display the light transmittance of the engine oil; when the light transmittance is between 100% and 50%, it displays [OK], when the light transmittance is between 50% and 30%, it displays [Δ], and when the light transmittance is below 30%, it displays [X], [T] Displays the current measured oil temperature;

6. After the measurement is completed, press and hold the "ON/OFF" button for 2 seconds to shut down.
