Important Note on Software & Proprietary Programs

Software vs. Personal Files: Personal files (Photos, Documents, PDF’s) are easily backed up and moved. However, installed software generally cannot be "dragged and dropped" to a new Windows installation without the original installer files or discs.

Your Responsibility: Please provide the installation media or license keys if you require a fresh software install. If you no longer have the software, we will do our best to find it online, but please note that many proprietary or older industrial programs are no longer available on the public web.

The "Clone" Solution: If your current Windows installation is still booting but the hardware is failing (or you just want a faster SSD), we can often "Clone" your entire drive. This moves your Windows, your settings, and your specialized software exactly as it is to a new, faster drive or even a "new" refurbished laptop.

Your Backup: If we upgrade your drive, we always return your original hard drive to you. This ensures you always have a "fail-safe" backup of your original data and software.
