Beautiful porcelain handled bowl with relief molded scrollwork edge. Hand painted with a maroon enamel flower in the center. This is framed by a larger green oval band and gold enamel beads. The overall background of the inside of the dish is ivory/custard with gold color enamel beading with four oval-shaped pink panels framed in gilding and enamel beading. Inside each of the four panels are pink petunia flowers. The bowl is in good condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. There are areas where the paint is worn off and a few spots where the enamel and beading is missing. The bowl measures just over 7.5" long, just over 5" wide, and just over 1" high. Unmarked, but made during the Nippon era of Japanese porcelain. Circa 1891 to 1921.
