Rain Bird 1800 Series spray head sprinklers are constructed of time-proven UV-resistant plastic and corrosion-resistant stainless steel parts, ensuring a long product life.
You may be wondering - "why isn't there a label around the head?" Heads with wrappers are labeled for individual display on a retail store shelf. As irrigation professionals we purchase our inventory wholesale directly from Rain Bird's master distributor (without labels), and not from a retail outlet such as a big box store or online website. Our stock is factory fresh from Rain Bird to us to you without that middle-man that adds to the cost!
This versatile head features:
* A co-molded wiper seal which provides resistance to grit, pressure and the environment
* Precision controlled flush at pop-down clears debris from unit, assuring positive stem retraction in all soil types
* Two-piece ratchet mechanism allows easy nozzle pattern alignment and provides added durability
* Operational pressure range: 15 to 70 PSI
* Inlet size: 1/2" FPT
* Riser height: 4"
* Overall body length: 6"
* Exposed diameter: 2-1/4"
This model is the Rain Bird 1804 and has a 4" riser (the part that pops-up) with an overall body length of 6". Please note that all spray bodies are referenced by the height of the riser (the part that pops-up) and not by the overall length of the sprinkler body.
Each head comes with an installed 1800 Pop-Top™ flush plug that blocks debris from entering after flushing and allows for easy nozzle installation. When install is complete you just screw off the flush plug and screw on a nozzle for continued use. Remember - you must install a nozzle for the head to operate! No nozzle is included. Rain Bird 1804 spray heads are compatible with all Rain Bird plastic spray head nozzles such as U-Series, HE-VAN, R-VAN, MPR, VAN, and XPCN Series nozzles. You can also use other industry-standard female nozzles.
