David Alan Badger is an Illinois Illustrator/ author whose work as an artist provides information Illinois communities and unique architectural landmarks. Since 1983, his ongoing life's project has been of documenting historical landmarks mainly around Illinois. Badger was planning to produce more than 180 limited edition books documenting the architecture and history of communities in every county in Illinois. Each book contains 35 to 40 of Badger's drawings of homes, business and public buildings in the community. Buildings he documents have been chosen for their aesthetic appeal and for their historic significance. Each book also contains a brief narrative about the buildings.
