Here you have one of the rarest JAKE LAMOTTA Sports Cards in existence. Please...SEE THE SCAN. This is the KITCHEN SINK SPORTS IMMORTAL CARD #27 with the 1944 RING MAGAZINE DESIGN. The release of this card and its accompanying 36-card set is quite recent. They were produced in 1993. What makes them rare is the fact that they were recalled by the manufacturer shortly after their release. Apparently there were some problems with copyright infringement. Thus, sets were sent back by retailers and destroyed. Some of these sets--not many--remain in the public realm. This is the #27 JAKE LAMOTTA Card. It is in mint condition. The card is a little larger than regular issue sports cards; it measures 2 3/4 inches X 3 3/4 and has a white margin. The back of the card is white with black printing; the heading "SPORTS IMMORTALS" is printed above with the name of the boxer below and an identification of the image on the front. A biography of LAMOTTA is written beneath this and at the bottom you'll find the card number in a shield with two stars around it. A tough piece from the great Lamotta! Take it home with you.
