The sweet potato takes about 100 days to bear fruit.
This is red skin sweet potatoes, white in the inside, has a sweet nutty taste. Can be bake, boil or make mashed potatoes.
I plant them round my fruit trees, keep the soil moist.
Best if you can give them some wood ashes or composte
PLANT: SOON AS SOON YOU GOT ORDER Unpack then put bottom vines to a sink (tray or a cup with about 2 inches of water in few hours. Leaves might turned yellow, brown / fell off, but that is ok they will getting back. just cut those off before plant them.
DIG A SHALLOW TRENCH ABOUT 3 - 4 INCHES DEEP AND 3-4 INCHES WIDE , THEN LAY THOSE VINE ABOUT 6" EACH WITH BOTTOM DOWN THE TRENCH THEN PULL DIRT BACK FILLING THE TRENCH , Gently pack dirt DOWN tight but not very tight, Remember leave the top of vines about 3 inches above ground ( pic9), shower dirt before lay vines and after pull dirt. water again and make a shady and cool area for them about 2 week - you can use tree's branches with a lot of leaves to stop direct sun.
You also can put bottom vines to a cup with about 0.5-1" inches of water 1-2 days it will start getting more roots ( last picture ) before you plant them in ground . But I do not recommend because if not careful vines /roots will get rotten
WATER 2 TIME/ Day: morning and late evening about few weeks, do not over water, just need keep pot soil moist. You can plant them in the pot with tray at bottom add a little water, or normal pots and put those pots in a tray with very little water 0.1-0.2" ( to void mosquito lay egg) then add more water each 3-4 day -, let tray dry sometime do not need keep water in tray every time - will be too wet for soil - not good for plant - I perfect this option because it will make roots get stronger and faster. Please keep the pot in shady and cool place, no direct sun few weeks when you see roots getting out at bottom then repot to bigger pot or put in ground.

We plant our own veggies in Florida, We have double lot land so we have big back, front and side yard. We do not use fertilizer, We do not use weed killer or bugs killer in our land, we pick weeds, cut grass, trim Hedges and put them in compost bins to make compost to feed our plants, you can see few big bin in picture, and we use organic products to make container soil.
Please keep an eye on the tracking, get them in cool place right when USPS delivery them ( Mail box is too hot in summer, and too cold in winter). Any damaged with plant must message me the same day the package delivered with picture of plant damaged. I am not responsible if you forgot it in your mailbox.
