Vintage 1949 Wood & Metal Dog Clown Chime Pull toy #860

It measures appr. 12" long, 9" high and 4 1/2" wide. The circus clown dog does cartwheels as the toy is pulled and it makes a loud chiming noise that drove parents nuts in the days. Furthermore the metal wheels were loud on wood floors - LOL.

This was my toy as a baby. It was used when I got it because my parents could not afford new toys. Check the last photo - It is shown in a catalog from 1949 with the blue metal wheels so I believe it is an early version from that year.

  It shows wear.  It has minor scratching and some paint loss.  The Lithograph on wood Dog is mildly buckling on both sides.  The string has been replaced. A great antique toy to add to your collection.
