Hi Friends, Offered for sale is Barite Crystal Stone Rare Bluish Color Specimen Sunrise Beach, Missouri USA 21.3 Grams. This is a barite crystal shape as it was found in barite rich soil. This was found on a cliff in the Ozarks lake region. There was a little cave {hydrothermal-vent} on the side of the cliff where the crystals were growing and smaller ones were falling down the side of the cliff and looked like glass sparkling in the sun. It looked like there had been a land slide on the side of the hill where the cliff was at one time. They are growing in clusters in and around the hydrothermal vent right out of the barite rich soil. Barite grows in many forms and coloration around the World. These particular barite crystal forms are unique to this Missouri location in The Lake of the Ozarks. Barite is heavy for its size and about the hardness of calcite.
