Scaffolding is a love poem by Irish born, Nobel prize winner Seamus Heaney. The scaffolding is a metaphor for the structure (trust) that is needed to build a relationship up and over time that relationship will stand on its own without support. It's the perfect piece of poetry for newlyweds and would make an ideal wedding gift, or anniversary present.
