WHAT IS CURIOSIN GEL?
CURIOSIN is a clear, odorless wound healing gel that does not stain skin or clothing. The main active ingredient in CURIOSIN is zinc hyaluronate. Excipients are carbomer (gel forming agent), potassium sorbate (preservative), water for injection. Microbiologically, the cleanliness of the gel meets the requirements of the European Pharmacopoeia. The main component of CURIOSIN - hyaluronan is the most important component of the skin and connective tissue, which depends on the integrity of the skin and connective tissue, their ability to regenerate after injury. Zinc hyaluronate as a constituent compound of hyaluronan is even more beneficial. CURIOSIN helps the damaged skin to heal in two ways: it creates the necessary conditions for this, it protects the damaged skin from the entry of microorganisms (from the environment and due to contact) and reduces the pain and inflammation of the wound. The preparation also helps to restore the normal condition and appearance of the skin.
HOW TO USE CURIOSIN?
CURIOSIN should only be used topically! Small traumatic wounds: Wash the surface of the wound with saline or water, wait until the bleeding stops and apply a thin, 1 mm layer of CURIOSIN to the entire surface of the wound. It is not necessary to apply a bandage - you can let CURIOSIN dry on the surface of the wound or first put a non-stick bandage on it, then cover it with a patch. CURIOSIN can be used repeatedly. Minor burns: Cool the burned area with running cold water and apply CURIOSIN as above. Chronic wounds (calf ulcers, bedsores, diabetic ulcers, etc.) Before using the product to treat chronic wounds, consult a healthcare professional about the duration of treatment with CURIOSIN. Chronic wounds can only be treated under the supervision of a health care specialist, who will prescribe other complex treatment measures (eg: pressure bandages, pressure reduction methods, blood glucose control, protection against infection). A health care professional should clean the wound, if necessary, then gently wash the wound and the surrounding area of skin with saline or water and wait until the bleeding stops. Once the wound bed is properly prepared, the preparation can be used as above.
WHAT SIDE EFFECTS CAN CURIOSIN CAUSE?
At the beginning of the treatment, the following symptoms may occasionally appear: redness, mild temporary tingling or burning sensation, pain in the affected area. If you develop any unexpected symptoms, notice any persistent irritation, redness, inflammation, signs of infection, or the wound does not heal within a few days, consult a healthcare professional. In clinical trials, hypergranulation and partial necrosis occasionally occurred in a limited area of the wound bed, but this was not found to be related to the use of CURIOSIN.
WHEN NOT TO USE CURIOSIN?
Do not use CURIOSIN if your body is sensitive to any component of the preparation or to bird (rooster) proteins.
OTHER INSTRUCTIONS:
Store the product at room temperature, out of the reach and sight of children. Before using for the first time, check that the frosted film covering the opening of the tube is not damaged. Close the cap well after using the product. Do not touch the end of the tube to the wound or other surfaces, and do not allow microorganisms or dirt to enter the tube. The gel is supplied in multi-dose containers (tubes), but only one patient should use the same tube. After the expiration date, the preparation should not be used.
