Based on the old book by Art Linkletter--which, in turn, was based on his TV show--these kid quotes were solicited in interviews with children, parents, and grandparents. The kids MacKall interviewed explained that the Fourth of July is the day to celebrate freedom from school and Veterans Day is the day the dogs go to the veteran. They also explained the difference between rich and poor, what hell is like, the geography of the U.S., and how they'd run the place given the chance. Most comments are amusing, some are poignant. Only a few are side-splitting and unforgettable.
