DESCRIPTION
Comprising two volumes of what was a twelve volume history. Volume IX, Lutheranism and Volume X, Calvinism.
Louis Maimbourg was a French Jesuit and historian. This twelve volume magnum opus discussed histories of the various sects of Christianity that played a large part of the European Reformation 100 years earlier.
With an engraved title page to each volume and an engraved headpiece to the first page of each work.
A scarce publication, and it is particularly uncommon to have multiple volumes of this work together. Internally, very bright copies of this work.
CONDITION
In uniform mottled calf bindings. Externally, smart. Light rubbing to the extremities. Small loss to the head and tail of spines. Internally, firmly bound. Loss to the head of the front endpaper. Pages are bright occasional light spots to pages.
