Item for sale is a 2005 large mixed-media piece titled "Table of Artist", by Ina Jean Anderson (1942 - 2017). Measures 22" x 30". Piece depicts a surealist scene where a bucket of paint has spilled from the artist's table flowing out into a nude form and splashing onto the floor in an explosion of words and objects. Base of piece is a thick piece of Arches Aquarelle artists paper with paint, canvas, nails, string, photocopied paper, etc... Signed and dated by the artist on the reverse.
Ina Jean Anderson was an outsider artist who by day was a librarian. She left behind a small but significant trove of work when she passed unexpectedly in 2017 at the age of 74. A prolific artist, Ina experimented with a wide spectrum of art mediums including painting, sculpture, stained glass, wood carving, and embroidery.
Why pay money for a mass market print when you can have something very unique. This is a true one of a kind. This was kept by the artist and is from the artist's estate.
