This is a 6 Tooth  Speedometer Drive Gear for a BW 1345 transfer case, Some Ford Transmissions and 4X4's . This Gear has a 1.6" long steel sleeve and Measures 1.375" ID & 1.625 OD. This does not have the provision for the gear clip or Keyway.  This Gear is extremely hard to find or impossible. I build these gears. I can also offer 7 & 8 tooth gears for the same Borg Warner 1345 Transfer Case, Mostly for Ford Transmissions and 4X4's

 The taller tires and, or lower gears make the speedometer incorrect. To make the right choice , you can go online and find a speedometer gear calculator. Make sure you put the correct information in and it will tell you what drive gear and what driven gear combination you will need. I only sell these drive gears.

This gear can be changed very easy.  Just remove the drive shaft yoke by removing The large nut in the center and removing the rear seal.  The gear slides off the tail shaft.  It is believed that you must separate the cases to replace this gear. NOT SO!!


Make Sure You Change Your Speedometer Cable, That is the most likely cause of this Problem.
Also check your cruise control if you have. Your cruise control may be the problem. Also Make sure your driven (the small gear) gear is correct. There are two styles that look alike. One is shorter than the other. The incorrect one can cause a bind when tightening down the bolt that hold it in, and it will ruin your new Drive Gear.
