This set includes two flat cars with fifth-wheel stanchions, two trailers, 21.5 inches. With the ever increasing intermodal container traffic along the U.S. railroads, special cars were required to haul a wide variety of containers, either separately or complete semi-trailers. Designed to run in groups, this car handles lift-on/lift-off semi-trailers that can go right from the rail to a waiting truck or a truck to the rails. This flat car with two Chicago & Northwestern Railway trailers can run either on 027 or 0 gauge layouts. The famous Chicago & Northwestern Railway and Falcon logos are seen on the sides of the trailers This flatcar set was not removed from Styrofoam packing for pictures. The original box is included.
