Very Young WWII German Death Card, Communications Company, Age 18
DESCRIPTION: RARE original WWII German death card for an 18 year old youth killed in action on the Eastern Front.
Specifically, "Sebasttian Ernst, farmer's son in civilian life, soldier in an infantry communication company, who died during the heavy fighting on the Eastern Front on Aug.25, 1942, aged 18." Nice clear large photo in full uniform. VERY YOUNG LOOKING.
Card is in excellent condition overall. Like other death cards, this card puts a name and face and story to a soldier who would otherwise only be a forgotten statistic. This one also comes out of my personal collection.
I follow ebay's rules strictly, and no bids will be accepted from Germany, Austria, or any other places where it is unlawful to ship to.
I try to collect and sell only unique and higher quality WWII and WWI soldier memorial cards rather than the more common ones usually seen on ebay.
Please see my auction list for other nice, unusual ones!!
