The original connector has a plastic bushing inside which wears and loosens over time and the foam inside gradually deteriorates – this is when the gear shift becomes unstable and unresponsive.
To solve this problem, MB performance has introduced this solid bushing gear shift connector specifically for BMW, which replaces the original plastic bushing for a much stronger, durable fixed port.

selector rod pins may have slight variations in thickness and
therefore some pins may have a tighter fit on our selector joints.
This can be resolved with a quick cleaning (to remove grime and
debris). In some cases, light sanding may be required.
