This ebay Buy-It-Now offering provides a 6-piece tune up kit for the Snap on: PH50F, PH2045, PH2050 and Blue Point PH2050 air hammers as stated and as shown below. These 6 parts can fix most of the issues with PH2045 and PH2050 air hammers. It is also possible that the alignment pins on the valve halves as well as the valve halves each or either may be cracked or broken. Disassembly of your tool FIRST combined with an accurate and knowledgeable assessment of your tool parts condition will determine if this kit is right for you. Buying it first as a "Hail Mary" move on your part and then discovering something else is wrong and that my parts kit won't work is 100% on you and 100% for to deal with alone. Getting the barrel unscrewed is difficult with all Snap on air hammers. Have the right tooling as Plan A and a Plan B because I won't allow remorse returns. Fitment is perfect as these are OEM parts for an obsolete air hammer. It's either this option from my ebay store, sending the tool to someone else for repair or recycling the tool for scrap metal. I am not a Home Depot revolving door repair center if you can't do this repair with the 6 OEM parts I provide that are listed below. Snap on does not make this type of kit available. This deal is one kit for one B-I-N price.
1) throttle valve.
1) valve seat.
1) throttle valve spring.
2) sets of paired body o'rings as: ME7B17 (barrel), ME7B68 (air inlet bushing).
1) replacement phenolic valve disc. Original valve discs may be stamped sheet metal but this phenolic valve disc is an OEM repair part.
Advisory: The barrel nut is extremely difficult to unscrew on this tool and requires special tooling. If you don't have it and attempt the removal of the nut you will likely not succeed. I include the barrel valve disc because it highly likely to be the reason for your tool not hammering properly or at all. Your tool has pins that break and may be made with high speed steel drill bits that you size with a caliper, then cut and grind to fit.
Simple throttle valve kit installation instructions are herein provided below:
The white valve seat goes in the bottom of the freshly cleaned tool handle bore first. There is a white raised circle or 360 ring on the white seat that must face up toward you. The white circle ring is where the face of the red tip valve seals to prevent the tool from passing air or operating when your trigger is released. The white valve seat is carefully installed using soft material like fuel line to push it into the tool bore.
OR WITH THIS BETTER INSTALLION METHOD OPTION AS STATED BELOW
The white valve seat can also be carefully installed using a 12 point thin wall 10mm or about 1/4" drive deep socket. Your socket must fit inside the handle of the tool and not allow the 12 point broach to make contact with the raised sealing edge of the white valve seat. Attach a 4" to 6" long 1/4" drive extension to make a white valve seat installation tool. A small hammer can be gently used to tap the white valve seat into place securely. You can actually feel it with light and careful tapping of your small hammer. I next slide the black trigger stem assembly using a flashlight to see into the bore to center the black trigger stem pin locating hole (for the red tip valve stem) straight down in the middle of the hole in the white valve seat. Make sure to locate the red tip valve stem into the black trigger stem hole in the trigger stem through the white seat hole while holding it with your long tweezers. Test your work by placing the narrow end of the tip valve spring onto the red tip valve nub. Apply holding spring pressure on the red tip valve to feel it lift when you push in on the black trigger stem. Slowly and gently push the black trigger to feel if you correctly located the red tip valve stem into the black trigger valve stem hole below. If you immediately feel red tip valve movement with immediate black trigger depression then you are correctly located. Now leave the tip valve spring with the narrow end on the red tip valve nub. Change the old o'ring on the steel bushing that screws into the tool handle. Screw the bushing into the tool applying pressure on the tip valve spring gently and slowly until you seat the bushing and tighten it. Avoid pulling the tool handle threads due to over-tightening of the bushing. Teflon tape or sealant should not be needed to seal. Feed some clean ATF into the air inlet before you attach the air supply. When you attach air there should be no air passing or any tool operation. Now pulling the black trigger and releasing it should operate the tool and shut it off as normal operation occurs. If you have leakage or passing air the seat may be damaged during installation. One customer told me he had to put sealant on the side of the white valve seat to seal it with the tool handle bore. There is no o'ring under the white valve seat or on top of it by design of the Snap on product engineers. This throttle valve repair kit is my intellectual property and my design unique to only ebay and nowhere else.
I will not change any shipping addresses after the ebay thru Paypal checkout is completed. I will forfeit my seller protection from fraud if any case is opened against me AND I changed the address from the ebal sales order YOU CREATED. I have had many bogus unauthorized credit card cases filed with Paypal against me for ebay sales that are 100% covered. I must prove that I shipped the item to the sales order address of record only. Do not ask me to change any shipping addresses after you have paid for an ebay item. This is one reason why I have a no refund ebay policy. I would have to raise my prices to cover these costs and then deal with other ebay paying customers who argue with me about my shipping charges when I am competing to have the best price on ebay with the item I selling.
The shipping weight is 4 ounces with USPS ground advantage...the slowest and cheapest shipping service available. International buyers have this item shipped to Glendale heights, Illinois for additional processing costs through the eBay Global Shipping Program.
