The YardMax® Cordless In-Ground Fence™ system has a battery-operated transmitter which can be conveniently placed in the yard, so you won’t need to drill holes into your home, and you have more flexibility with how you setup the boundary. Plus, if the power goes out, your pet can still safely play in their yard since the transmitter is battery- powered.
This fence is a great option if you’re renting your home, or if you have a challenging yard layout. This in-ground fence comes with enough wire to fence in a 1/3-acre yard. If your yard is larger, just purchase more wire to secure a play area up 1.4 acres.
This system comes with a rechargeable receiver collar that has a tone-only mode for training plus 5 levels of adjustable static correction. When your pet approaches the boundary, they will receive a safe (but annoying) static correction, if they pass the boundary, the enhanced correction zone will encourage them to head back into their play area. This receiver collar is also compatible with our PetSafe® Pawz Away® pet barriers so you can keep your pet away from other off-limits areas inside and outside the home.

The YardMax® Cordless transmitter sends a signal though the buried boundary wire. When outside, your pet wears the YardMax® receiver collar that picks up the signal. Your dog or cat hears a beep when he enters the warning zone. If your pet continues past the warning zone, the collar gives a safe but surprising static correction. The feeling is similar to static sensations often felt in winter. Different pets respond to different levels of the static feeling and 5 adjustable levels of correction are available plus a tone-only setting. The only pets not recommended to use the YardMax® Cordless In-Ground Fence™ System are aggressive pets, pets younger than 6 months old and pets weighing under 5 lb.
