If you're trying to install the drive as a second drive, many Windows 10 computers will not automatically recognize it. Does it show up in Disk Management? If not, try this:

  • Go to Device Manager.
  • Select IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers and delete all ATA channels.
  • Back out and restart the computer.
  • Windows will now find all ATA devices and the drive should now be visible in Disk Management.
