- Instructions on how to attach heel and toe protectors - Determine the size of the toe protector required by measuring the toe width of shoe sole.
- For leather soles:
- Mark the holes on the sole with a pen
- Pilot small holes using a drill in marked positions
- Drill not available then water brush the toe or heel section
- Use a sharp stabbing awl to pilot the holes
- Place the toe protector in the marked position
- By hand drive 2 nails at either end
- Adjust till it is in position
- Drive the 2 nail in position by hand
- Hold the shoe firm in hand and using a hammer gently tap the nails in
- Once all the nails driven then hammer again to ensure it firmly secured
- For rubber soles or similar:
- Follow above instructions but water brush not required
